this little kitty is: cheerful
listening to: B.R.M.C : "weapon of choice"
BLACK REBEL
MOTORCYCLE CLUB

A band which sounds how my life feels during this phase of my life.  Pretty amazing...
Seldom do I gawk over a band, but they are pretty phenomenal. Whether a note to myself, or to others, I think B.R.M.C. has earned a spot in my mind/as a note to self.

this little kitty is: in love
Out my window, where I live, the fog rolls-- literally.  It's thick and breathable, hardly moving and warm-- though cool from condensation as it hits the lungs and spreads to your bones.  The sky is purplish-black and star studded.  Right now though, just over the strip of buildings that line the avenue, there is a bluish halo of light that changes the color of the sky in a gradient to luminous blue.  I'm not sure what it is causing the sky to light up like that... the Inner Sunset is a quiet neighborhood in San Francisco.  All the stores have been closed since at latest 10.  No movie trailers, stadiums, skyscrapers, or helicopters.

Where I live, the beach is only a mile West and a block North to the park-- Golden Gate Park.  That's exactly the reason the fog tumbles over itself in thick flumes like taffy does when it's being made here at night.  Apartments here are cheap-- not because it's dangerous or industrial, but because the weather isn't as nice.  Houses on hills tend to be the most expensive, looking over the whole city in all it's little clusters, over the hills, and to the bridges.  However... these houses are susceptible to mud slides when the torrential rains come for the winter and melt away the hillsides that they are built on.

In the daytime, the Inner Sunset is beautiful-- sunny and clear, but the fog begins to move in around 6 in the evening and is more noticeable on the warmer days, which always fall between 40-50 at night.  Jeff has tried to explain each of the neighborhoods-- which ones are the sunniest or rainy and why they are the way they are... topographically.  I still don't know the geography, physically, of the entire terrain and where it bends into the many distinct districts which constitute this city.  I still have not forgotten of NY-- the city.  (Of all cities.)  However, I am happy here... really happy, and for many reasons.  The fact that it is perpetually Spring/Summer, the asian foods-- like Pho, lychees, bubble teas of all sorts are amazing, the character of the people is admirable, the looming comradery among it's occupants inspiring, the personality of the architecture distinct and present are not the only reasons I am so content... there is also the fog.  The changes the weather undergoes is mysterious-- like an ominous being in it's own right... I am so in love.
